The Heart Behind The Sanctuary

Meet the Cross Family

In 2023, the Cross family risked their entire life savings to save this facility from permanent closure.

With no major financial backing, they invested millions of dollars to rescue the animals, support the staff, and begin building a world-class Wildlife Headquarters focused on education, rescue, rehabilitation, and conservation.

Today, the sanctuary operates as a not-for-profit organisation — the Cross family does not personally benefit.

Every dollar raised goes directly back into caring for the animals and supporting our mission.

This sanctuary exists because of their vision, courage, and deep love for wildlife.

About Coffs Coast Wildlife Sanctuary

At Coffs Coast Wildlife Sanctuary we inspire visitors to care for marine environments through unique experiences and education.

Coffs Coast Wildlife Sanctuary is privileged to care for the amazing marine animal ambassadors that call our park home and share them with visitors. And we’re proud to rescue and rehabilitate sick and injured marine animals and release them back to their natural ocean homes.

Aside from sharing our animals with visitors, we educate and inspire the next generation to change their behaviour through unique, hands-on education programs at the park. School children of all ages interact with our animals in lessons they will remember forever.
