Please note: due to the limited number of spaces in our program we cannot guarantee requested dates.  Work experience programs are not available during the NSW school holidays. Due to the popularity of our work experience program, we may be fully booked up to 12 months in advance.

Successful applicants for the work experience program will receive hands-on practice working in various areas of Coffs Coast Wildlife Sanctuary.

Students will participate in duties including cleaning enclosures, food buckets and the fish kitchen, assisting with food preparation, helping with the reef tank, Little Blue Penguins and other animal feedings, caring for the aquariums, crowd control and helping guests with activities.

Participants may also have the opportunity to work with the rehabilitation and rescue unit, and care for some of the sick and injured wildlife we are nursing in the park.

The work experience placement runs for four days, Monday to Thursday, from 8.30 am to 3.45 pm with a one-hour lunch break.
