Dolphin Marine Conservation Park is very proud to host TAFE students here at the park every week as a practical part of the Certificate III in Animal
Studies course.

One of the projects the students have been working on recently is to design enrichment for an animal at the park.

Enrichment is extremely important for animals as it gives both physical and mental stimulation. Enrichment can come in many forms; tactile, foraging,
sensory and interactive. The students had to look at what types of behaviour their chosen enrichment will encourage e.g. penguins finding nesting
material in a puzzle or objects that encourage investigating behaviour.
