Introducing Coffs Coast Wildlife Sanctuary

Great news! Coffs Harbour’s beloved marine conservation park is here to stay! Passionate, long-term team member at Dolphin Marine Conservation Park, Tiga Cross and her family will run the park from 26th October 2023 under the new name Coffs Coast Wildlife Sanctuary. Currently the Life Sciences Manager and a team member for over 15 years, Tiga expressed her excitement about investing in the park’s future.

“I believe in the future we have planned for the park, so it was a big, but logical, decision for us to invest in its future and keep the site open and operational. Keeping the park open is great news for our 50 marine animals, our 40 staff, our 100 volunteers, and of course the 400 marine animals we rescue and release each year.”

Terry Goodall with new owner, Tiga Cross

Managing Director Terry Goodall said seeing the park transferred to such a passionate advocate for marine animal welfare in Tiga Cross was a great result.

“Tiga has been an integral part in developing our plans for the future as a wildlife sanctuary, and seeing that legacy continue with her resources and dedication is gratifying. It’s been a challenging five years, and we survived when many other businesses and organisations failed, a testament to our team and the enormous support of the community and local businesses. On behalf of the Board and Management, thank you to all our supporters and congratulations and best wishes to Tiga and her family for every success. I look forward to seeing the park continue championing wildlife conservation, education, rescue and rehabilitation for many years.”
