Exciting News! Miki, our adorable, 3-month-old Australian sea lion pup, has learnt to swim and is ready to face the world! Spot Miki this weekend splashing around Seal Shores and give him some encouragement.

Miki was born as part of the Australasian Species Management Program for endangered species. Proudly,  Dolphin Marine Conservation Park in Coffs Harbour is the most successful breeder of endangered sea lions in Australia ensuring the survival of this amazing marine mammal.

Miki’s name is inspired by the first nations name for ‘moon’ in the Nyungar language from Western Australia because he arrived at 2 am!  His doting Mum, Miri has done a stellar job teaching Miki everything a sea lion pup needs to know which is fitting as her name means ‘star’ in the Northern NSW Kamilaroi/Gamilaraay language!
